No screens, no batteries, just useful and practical information for beginners and experienced astronomers alike. These are very helpful for planning observing sessions and learning the night sky. Cleverly organized by color code into seasons makes finding appropriate objects to observe a snap. These will also be great to keep near my scope at public star watches to share information and help people see what to expect when they look into the eyepiece.
Excellent product for the beginner astronomer! All data needed to understand the starts in an easy package
Quick shipping, very nice storage box. Easy to understand. Some of the colors on card blend with the words.
The new Cosmic Shards Stargazing Cards are an excellent gift for those interested in astronomy. The Constellations set is organized by season, with each of the laminated cards providing detailed information for observing one of the eighty-eight regions of the night sky. The cards are packed full of observation details: where to find the stars relative to nearby constellation regions, the latitude visibility zones, nearby galaxies and star clusters, and the best months of the year for observing. The cards also include discovery details, some of the mythological basis for the constellations, and additional notes and facts regarding the history of the constellations. The cards are designed for red-light / night vision use, feel durable for outdoor use in varying weather conditions, and have the advantage of being separable into clusters to make stargazing for specific objects during astronomy sessions easier. I highly recommend these card sets as gifts and for those with a personal interest in astronomy.
Beautifully crafted. I am very much looking forward to seeing what comes next!
These card are everything I had hoped for!
They have so much information but its all organized in an easy to digest format and it's not overwhelming or cluttered. It's super cold out or it has been cloudy so we haven't had many chances to use them outside, but the kids have been having fun with them inside. I just leave them on the coffee table and it invites everyone to open them up. Things have never been this quiet after school before!
These cards, together with the Messier cards, make planning and observing the night sky easier and more enjoyable thanks to the diagrams and information. LOok Up.
The cards are nicely compatible with the mercier pack and elude to a potential upcoming pack that would cover all the non mercier Objects listed in each constellation. I think that a mini localisation card in the sky whit the major stars could have been added
Excellent quality love the mythological backgrounds!
They re amazing. Accurate and very educational.
Such a great study resource. I love the quality of the cards.
These are amazing. Large and sturdy card stock, high quality print and images, and full ull of info.
I've always loved learning about the universe and learning that there are many more things to be explored. I've thoroughly enjoyed both card sets so far and would like to give an idea that would make it better. If a binder with clear card inserts can be made that would be awesome and it would make star gazing easier.
I have two sets of cards. It's a little hard to convey but the quality is excellent. the colors, the finish, the feel. the info on the cards is great. the box is strong and sturdy and looks great on my fireplace mantle.
but my favorite part is they are just very enjoyable. I can sit outside with a coffee and slowly learn about the sky. love to have something in my hand like this that isn't a tablet.
wonderful product and I'll be buying any future cards that come out.
